Happy New Year!

By this New Year's Eve greeting we establish a new tradition of recalling the most important events in the space exploration history which anniversary will be celebrated in the upcoming year. In October 2019, it will be 60 years since the legendary Luna-3 mission. The first ever lunar swing-by maneuver, which was designed in our institute, ensured the station returned to the Earth above the northern hemisphere and transmitted the first images of the lunar far side, previously unseen. Almost 10 years later, in July 1969, the Commander of the Apollo-11 mission, Neil Armstrong, would be the first man who stepped on the lunar surface.
Let your plans in the new year be ambitious and at the same time achievable! For that, apart from hard work and persistence, you will need good health and a little luck, which we sincerely wish you. Happy New Year!
