Magnetic attitude control systems for small satellites

Our group has recently presented a new book: "Magnetic attitude control systems for small satellites" by Ovchinnikov, M., Pen’kov, V., Roldugin, D., Ivanov, D.The book covers the dynamics of satellites with permanent magnet, hysteresis rods, spherical magnetic damper, magnetic coils and supplementary actuators (pitch flywheel and gravitational boom). Details...

KIAM Conference of Young Scientists

The Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics held a Conference of Young Scientists in November. The meeting was focused on discussing the work of various departments of the Institute. The conference also included the award presentation to the winners of the Competition of the KIAM Young Scientists on the occasion of 105-year anniversary of Mstislav V. Keldysh. Meeting with director of Mayak nanosatellite project

Dr. Sergey Trofimov has met with Alexander Shaenko, the manager of the small                                                                 satellite “Mayak” project, at Moscow Polytechnic University on September 3. At                                                                 the meeting Alexander has presented the satellite concept and development.
