Magnetic attitude control systems for small satellites

  Our group has recently presented a new book: "Magnetic attitude control systems for small satellites" by Ovchinnikov, M., Pen’kov, V., Roldugin, D., Ivanov, D.

The book covers the dynamics of satellites with permanent magnet, hysteresis rods, spherical magnetic damper, magnetic coils and supplementary actuators (pitch flywheel and gravitational boom).

Analytical study based on asymptotic methods, stability theory and Floquet theory is supplemented with numerical computation and some results of laboratory simulation and flight dynamics tests.

The book is addressed to researchers who work in the study, development and creation of satellites, as well as to students and postgraduates of the corresponding specialties.
